Description
Oil-Rite manufactures Lubrication Systems specifically to customer requirements. All systems are engineered, designed, manufactured and fully tested at Oil-Rite. This is an example of a custom built Circulating Oil System.
This Circulating Oil System has a cast iron pump providing 5 GPM at 50 PSI. The 1/2 HP, 1750 RPM, TEFC motor is operated by single phase power at 115/208-230V 60Hz.
The 25 gallon capacity reservoir is constructed of welded steel. A stainless steel top filler cap makes filling the reservoir quick and simple. The filler cap is equipped with an air filter and liquid strainer to help maintain liquid quality. A baffle in the tank separates sediment and reduces turbulence. There are (2) 1” NPT Return Connections, and (2) 1/2 NPT drains. A 50 mesh stainless steel suction strainer located near the inlet filters out larger debris. A 9 micron filter near the outlet helps to further maintain liquid quality.
This Circulating Oil System features an air cooled heat exchanger to help regulate liquid temperature. An air cooled heat exchanger maintains a constant oil supply temperature. It removes approximately 19,000 BTU/HR. This system was designed for an application where oil circulates in at about 195°F and out at 180°F. The ¼ HP, 1750 RPM fan motor is operated by single phase power at 115/208-230v, 60 HZ.
Additional controls include:
- A check valve located at the system outlet to ensure fluid flows in only one direction.
- A cast iron bypass relief valve used to set system output pressure, adjustable from 30-100 PSI.
- A pressure gage displaying 0-160 PSI.
- A NEMA 4X enclosed temperature switch adjustable from 75° to 205° F. There are two switches, one switch is to be used for high temperature alarm, another switch used to directly control heat exchanger fan motor.
This custom built circulating oil system measures 42” by 30”. The overall height is approximately 29 ½”. The system can be secured using (4) mounting holes located on the base of the unit.
All Circulating Oil Systems are quoted specifically to customer requirements. Pricing can be determined only after the Circulating Oil System Request Form (found on this page) is completed. Contact the bearing manufacturer for information on the flow rate and fluid required.
Delivery is dependent upon supplier availability, lead times range from 4 to 10 weeks.
