Description
Oil-Rite manufactures Lubrication Systems specifically to customer requirements. All systems are engineered, designed, manufactured and fully tested at Oil-Rite. This is an example of a custom built Circulating Oil System.
This Circulating Oil System has a gear pump providing 4 GPM minimum at 100 PSI. The ¾ HP, 1725 RPM, TEFC is operated by single phase power at 115/230V 60Hz.
The 20 gallon capacity reservoir is constructed of welded steel. A top filler cap makes filling the reservoir quick and simple. The filler cap is equipped with an air filter and liquid strainer to help maintain liquid quality. A baffle in the tank separates sediment and reduces turbulence. There is a 100 mesh stainless steel suction filter inside the reservoir to filter larger debris.
The 23 micron, 1000 beta, cellulose filter near the outlet helps maintain liquid quality. The filter has a spin-on element for easy replacement. The low level switch inside the reservoir can be wired to shut down machinery or turn on warning devices when the liquid supply fails or recedes to a predetermined level. A conduit box and relay are provided for electrical connection of the low level switch.
Heaters can maintain a certain liquid temperature and assist in cold weather start-ups. This Circulating Oil System features a 3000 watt screw plug immersion type heater that operates with the same voltage as the motor. The integral thermostat is adjustable from 60° to 250° F. The heater is housed in a Nema 4 enclosure.
This Circulating Oil System features an air cooled heat exchanger to help regulate liquid temperature. A stainless steel dial thermometer displays 0 to 250°F.
Additional controls include:
- A stainless steel pressure gage, displaying 0 to 160 PSI.
- A bronze check valve located at the system outlet to ensure fluid flows in only one direction.
- A bypass relief valve used to set system output pressure, adjustable from 7 to 35 PSI.
- A temperature switch near the heat exchanger outlet, adjustable from 0 to 225°F
- A flow meter and switch adjustable from .5 to 5 GPM.
All Circulating Oil Systems are quoted specifically to customer requirements. Pricing can be determined only after the Circulating Oil System Request Form (found on this page) is completed. Contact the bearing manufacturer for information on the flow rate and fluid required.
Delivery is dependent upon supplier availability, lead times range from 4 to 10 weeks.
