Description
Oil-Rite manufactures Lubrication Systems specifically to customer requirements. All systems are engineered, designed, manufactured and fully tested at Oil-Rite. This is an example of a custom built Circulating Oil System.
This Lubrication System has a cast iron pump proving 2.9 GPM at 50 PSI. The 1 HP, 1140 RPM, TEFC motor is operated by 3 phase power at 230/460V 60Hz.
The system uses 304 and 316 stainless steel piping components. The 15 gallon capacity reservoir is constructed with 304 stainless steel. A stainless steel top filler cap makes filling the reservoir quick and simple. The filler cap is equipped with an air filter and liquid strainer to help maintain liquid quality. A baffle in the tank separates sediment and reduces turbulence. There are (2) 1” NPT return connections and (2) 1/2” NPT drains.
A 23 micron, 1,000 beta, cellulose filter with an aluminum head helps maintain liquid quality. This system is also equipped with a water absorbing filter that is 32 micron, 1,000 beta. Both filters feature a spin-on element, making them easy to replace. A differential pressure gage is provided across each filter to monitor circulation. There is also a 100 mesh stainless steel suction filter inside the reservoir to filter larger debris.
The normally open low level switch inside the reservoir can be wired to shut down machinery or turn on warning devices when the liquid supply fails or recedes to a predetermined level. A conduit box and relay give access to the electrical connections.
Additional controls include:
- A stainless steel check valve located at the system outlet to ensure fluid flows in only one direction.
- A cast iron bypass relief valve used to set system output pressure, adjustable from 30 to 100 PSI.
- A stainless steel pressure gage displaying 0-160 PSI.
- A stainless steel thermometer displaying 0 to 250° F.
- A 9” aluminum liquid level gage on the outside of the reservoir with a dial thermometer displaying temperatures from 0° to 250° F allows visual check of liquid level, condition, and temperature at a glance.
All Circulating Oil Systems are quoted specifically to customer requirements. Pricing can be determined only after the Circulating Oil System Request Form (found on this page) is completed. Contact the bearing manufacturer for information on the flow rate and fluid required.
Delivery is dependent upon supplier availability, lead times range from 4 to 10 weeks.
