Description
Oil-Rite manufactures Lubrication Systems specifically to customer requirements. All systems are engineered, designed, manufactured and fully tested at Oil-Rite. This is an example of a custom built Circulating Oil System.
This Circulating Oil System has dual gear pumps each providing 7 GPH minimum at 50 PSI. The dual 1/4 HP, 1800 RPM, TEFC motors are operated by 3 phase power at 230/460V 60Hz.
The 15 gallon capacity reservoir is constructed of welded steel. A top filler cap makes filling the reservoir quick and simple. The filler cap is equipped with an air filter and liquid strainer to help maintain liquid quality. A baffle in the tank separates sediment and reduces turbulence. There is a 100 mesh stainless steel suction filter inside the reservoir to filter larger debris.
This system is plumbed for continuous operation with dual filtration systems. The 10 micron stainless steel filters feature replaceable elements, allowing one filter to be serviced while maintaining continuous system operation using the duplicate filter. Dual differential pressure gages and switches are provided to monitor circulation and signal an alarm caused by high levels of filter contamination.
A liquid cooled heat exchanger maintains a constant oil supply temperature. The heat exchanger used with this Circulating Oil System removes approximately 1,700 BTU/HR, and requires .1 GPM of cooling water at a 90° F maximum.
This Lubrication System features a NEMA electrical enclosure containing motor logic and control circuitry, system status lights, local start/stop switches, and customer interface connections.
Additional controls include:
- Check valves located after each pump and at the system outlet to ensure fluid flows in only one direction.
- A bypass relief valve used to set system output pressure, adjustable from 30 to 100 PSI.
- An additional bypass relief valve provided to protect the pumps and system components in the event of an overpressure condition.
- A pressure gage displaying 0-160 PSI.
- Dual pressure switches adjustable from .5 to 80 PSI.
- A temperature switch adjustable from 50 to 200° F.
- A flow switch adjustable from .04 to 1.1 GPM.
- A liquid level gage on the outside of the reservoir with a dial thermometer displaying temperatures from 0° to 250° F to allow visual check of liquid level, condition, and temperature at a glance.
- A low level switch in the reservoir that can be wired to shut down machinery or turn on warning devices when the liquid supply fails or recedes to a predetermined level.
All Circulating Oil Systems are quoted specifically to customer requirements. Pricing can be determined only after the Circulating Oil System Request Form (found on this page) is completed. Contact the bearing manufacturer for information on the flow rate and fluid required.
Delivery is dependent upon supplier availability, lead times range from 4 to 10 weeks.
