Description
Oil-Rite manufactures Lubrication Systems specifically to customer requirements. All systems are engineered, designed, manufactured and fully tested at Oil-Rite. This is an example of a custom built Circulating Oil System.
This Circulating Oil System is equipped with a cast iron pump providing 2 GPM at 25 PSI. The 1/3 HP, 1725 RPM, TEFC motor is operated by single phase power at 115/230V 60Hz.
The 10 gallon capacity reservoir is constructed with 304 stainless steel. A top filler cap makes filling the reservoir quick and simple. The filler cap is equipped with an air filter and liquid strainer to help maintain liquid quality. There are (2) 1” female NPT return connections and (2) 1/2” female NPT drains. A baffle in the tank separates sediment and reduces turbulence. A 100 mesh stainless steel suction filter within the reservoir filters larger debris. A low level switch inside the reservoir can be wired to shut down machinery or turn on warning devices when the liquid supply fails or recedes to a predetermined level.
A 23 micron, 1,000 beta filter located near the outlet helps maintain liquid quality. The filter features a spin-on element for ease of cleaning and replacement.
This Circulating Oil System features a water cooled heat exchanger to help maintain a constant oil supply temperature. The heat exchanger removes approximately 13,000 BTU/HR; oil circulates in at about 150° F and out at 120° F. It requires 1 GPM of cooling water at 60° F maximum.
Additional controls include:
- A bronze check valve located at the system outlet to ensure fluid flows in only one direction.
- A cast iron bypass relief valve located near the system outlet, used to set system pressure and adjustable from 7 to 35 PSI.
- A stainless steel pressure gage located near the system outlet, displaying 0-60 PSI.
- A temperature switch in a NEMA 4/4X enclosure, located near the heat exchanger output and adjustable from 75° F to 200° F.
- A dual SPDT pressure switch in a NEMA 4/4X enclosure.
- A brass flow switch set at .5 GPM.
- An additional low level switch used to monitor the heat exchanger water supply level.
- A stainless steel dial thermometer near the heat exchanger output, displaying 0 to 250°F.
- A 9” centerline liquid level gage on the outside of the reservoir with a dial thermometer displaying temperatures from 0° to 250° F, allowing visual check of liquid level, condition, and temperature at a glance.
This custom built circulating oil system measures 20” by 12”. The overall height is approximately 30 7/32”. The system can be secured using the (4) mounting holes located on the base of the unit.
All Circulating Oil Systems are quoted specifically to customer requirements. Pricing can be determined only after the Circulating Oil System Request Form (found on this page) is completed. Contact the bearing manufacturer for information on the flow rate and fluid required.
Delivery is dependent upon supplier availability, lead times range from 4 to 10 weeks.
