Description
Oil-Rite manufactures Lubrication Systems specifically to customer requirements. All systems are engineered, designed, manufactured and fully tested at Oil-Rite. This is an example of a custom built Circulating Oil System.
This Circulating Oil System is equipped with a cast iron pump providing 15 GPM at 30 PSI. The 2 HP, 1750 RPM, TEFC motor is operated by 3 phase power at 208-230/460V 60Hz or 190/380V 50Hz.
The 80 gallon capacity reservoir is constructed of welded steel. A top filler cap makes filling the reservoir quick and simple. The filler cap is equipped with an air filter and liquid strainer to help maintain liquid quality. There is a 2” female NPT return connection and (2) 1/2” female NPT drains. A baffle in the tank separates sediment and reduces turbulence. A 100 mesh aluminum and stainless steel suction filter within the reservoir filters larger debris. A low level switch inside the reservoir can be wired to shut down machinery or turn on warning devices when the liquid supply fails or recedes to a predetermined level.
This system is plumbed for continuous operation with dual filtration systems. Dual 10 micron, 1000 beta filters near the outlet help maintain liquid quality. One filter can be serviced while maintaining continuous system operation using the duplicate filter. A differential pressure gage and switch is provided to monitor circulation and can be wired to signal an alarm caused by high levels of filter contamination.
Additional controls include:
- A pressure switch located near the system outlet, adjustable from .5 to 80 PSI, in a NEMA 4 enclosure.
- A stainless steel pressure gage, displaying 0-60 PSI.
- A thermal flow and temperature switch located near the system outlet, adjustable from 75° to 200° F.
- A flow meter with flow switch located near the system outlet, measuring .7 to 15 GPM.
- A poppet style bronze check valve to ensure fluid flows in only one direction.
- A dial thermometer displaying 0° to 250° F.
- A bypass relief valve used to set system output pressure, adjustable from 7 to 35 PSI.
- A bypass relief valve used for pump safety relief, adjustable from 30 to 100 PSI
- A 10” centerline liquid level gage on the outside of the reservoir with a dial thermometer displaying temperatures from 0° to 250° F, allowing visual check of liquid level, condition, and temperature at a glance.
- This system was also supplied with nitrile hose assemblies for the pressure and return line connections, to be installed by the customer.
This custom built circulating oil system measures 42” by 36”. The overall height is 43”
All Circulating Oil Systems are quoted specifically to customer requirements. Pricing can be determined only after the Circulating Oil System Request Form (found on this page) is completed. Contact the bearing manufacturer for information on the flow rate and fluid required.
Delivery is dependent upon supplier availability, lead times range from 4 to 10 weeks.
